Water Softeners and Water Filters have become a necessity in many areas of the country because they have hard water. The hard water increases the quantity of sodium in your water that is not good for you. Here, we need a Nuvo H20 water softener.
The old Nuvo ion exchange water softener is now out of trend, now new Nuvo H20 used citrus chelating to soften the water with an eco-friendly environment but the amazing feature of Nuvo H20 is, it does not use salt for softening anymore.
Nuvo is a United States brand, which is working for 15 years and provides people with soft and conditioned water. Now, they have introduced a salt-free conditioner that removes limescale with its super technology.
Nuvo h20 Cartridge:
The Nuvo Home water softener works as expected and offers good value for money. It is a great alternative for people looking for salt-free plasticizers but who are not sure of their legitimacy as Nuvo H2O has FDA and NSF approved.
A cartridge is included in the case of the Nuvo H2O home softening system and is used to condition water instead of salt and resin. The resulting water is softer, healthier, and better for use in household appliances, as it does not promote limescale buildup.
A free replacement cartridge is included with the system. To ensure that the Nuvo system continues to function efficiently, you need to calculate cartridge replacement after every 20,000 gallons of water.
Features of Nuvo H20
The Nuvo H2O water softener uses Citra Charge Cell technology, which is patented and FDA-certified. Chelate with citrine, this method causes the pH in your water to become more balanced. Lime is formed when magnesium and calcium ions are combined on surfaces such as bath tiles and in your hydraulic system.
The method of this softening water modifies salt and other components to eliminate lime without changing the taste of water. It has a case softener and cartridge for the Nuvo H2O fabric softener, as well as a replacement cartridge.
It includes a backplate, support, and screws for mounting the air conditioner on the wall. Use a frame key to install. When changing the cartridge, a bypass valve is used to divert water to the main pipe.
Types of Nuvo H20
Nuvo h20 comes up with some different types. Let’s discuss all of these types:
Home:
The home model is best suited for rooms from 1,000 to 2,000 square meters. It is also recommended to use the house model only in accommodations with no more than three passengers. It has a flow rate of up to 15 GPM, so you can use it to soften the water without affecting the flow.
Manor:
The Manor NuVoH2O system is the largest salt-free water softener on the market and can handle homes up to 2,000 square feet. With a flow rate of 18 GPM, this model is the ideal water softener system for homes with up to four residents.
Studio:
The Nuvo H2O studio system is designed for small living spaces such as apartments and even electric vehicles. The water flow is 15 GPM, which makes it perfect for a person living in an area of 1000 square meters. Thanks to this flow of water, you can soften the water without affecting normal water pressure.
Salt-free System:
The Nuvo H2O water softener uses an unsalted system. This means that minerals remain in the water of the home instead of being disposed of. To minimize lime accumulation on surfaces, an unsalted water softener modifies minerals.
Nuvo H20’s unsalted water design increases the installation and use of the device and consumes less water because nothing is removed. Compared to salt-based systems, these features make it easier to control the Nuvo water softener.
Design of Nuvo H20 Water Softener
There is a slight difference between all the Nuvo H20 water softeners, let’s take a look at their designs
Home System Design:
The Home model has one-inch installation ports. As a result, you can use it with a 34″ power line. In addition, this unit is lightweight, weighing only 9 kilograms, which makes installation easy.
Manor System Design:
If you have 12-inch tubes, the mansion system works better because it is designed for that. You can still use this Nuvo water softener with different diameter tubes, but you need to use adapters, which can lengthen the installation process.
Studio System Design:
Because it’s smaller than other variants, the Nuvo H20 Studio system is designed to fit 34-inch hoses without using adapters. We loved the lightness at 6 pounds, as it makes it easy to handle when installed.
Nuvo H20 Annual Replacement and Maintenance
A replacement cartridge is included with a Nuvo H2O system. For the system to work properly, you need to replace the cartridge after a certain amount of water has passed through it.
- After 10,000 gallons, replace the cartridge in the studio model.
- Replace the cartridge on the homemade model, after 20,000 gallons.
- After 50,000 gallons, replace the Manor cartridge.
- Every day, the average household consumes 80 to 100 gallons of water.
Therefore, replacement cartridges for the Studio model would not be needed for three years or more. After a year, the Home NuVoH2O system would require replacement cartridges, while the Manor model would require replacement cartridges twice a year.
Important Factors
If you have a large household then, Nuvo H20 is may be costly for them. Because you need to use more water and then there is Nuvo H20 usage. Always try to close the Nuvo water softener very softly, if you bind it tightly then it may cause the system not to work effectively and properly.
Never install the Nuvo water softener system that has a well or wooden fire-base boiler system. It helps to reduce the limescale buildable. It has another advantage in that it improves the longevity of plumbing appliances.
But the main disadvantage is it may leave a blue tint to your water, and some users may don’t like this blue tint.
